Because I think kids should have access to beautiful art no matter what, I'm giving away this printable paper puppet! I made these for my family, but I thought they were too cute to keep to myself. Simply download the file and take it to your friendly neighborhood printer to get it printed on some nice cardstock using color ink. Or if you are blessed with a working home color printer, print it at home!

INSTRUCTIONS: To make a puppet that has a mirror image on the opposite side 1) fold on the middle line 2) then use a glue stick or some kind of quick drying glue on one half of the back before pressing the two halves together. 3)You can insert a popsicle stick or straw or some other kind of stick at this point if you want the puppet to be on a stick. But you'll have to cut out a small section around the stick while the paper dries 4) When it's dry, cut around the color border of the puppet. The two sides should line up.

OPTIONAL FOR ADDED DURABILITY: 1) Align the middle line with the edge of a thin cardboard like a cereal box or chipboard before gluing the inside of each side of the paper. 2) Press the glued sides to either side of the cardboard. You can insert a stick at this point and cut out around where it will be before the glue dries. 3) Once it's dry, cut out around the color border. The two sides should line up.
