Puppet Theater Template FREE DOWNLOAD

Because I think kids should have access to beautiful art no matter what, I'm giving away this template for a hanging puppet theater! I made this for my family, but I thought is was too cute to keep to myself. Follow the instructions below to create a puppet theater that you can hang in a doorway!

INSTRUCTIONS OPTION 1: 1) Use a projector to project the image onto your fabric and trace using a pencil. (Make sure to leave several inches at the top for a fold for the rod.) 2) Go over the lines with black sharpie or some kind of black paint. 3) Purchase (or steal from your shower) a tension rod that will fit in your chosen door frame. 4) Fold the top around your rod to make sure it has enough room to slide in and out. 5) Use a hot glue gun or a sewing machine to seal the flap on the backside. 6) Carefully cut out the section that says "CUT OUT THIS SECTION" 7) OPTIONAL: Color in some sections (gold paint would look excellent), add tassels to the "curtains," add any extra decorations like glitter, pom poms, fabric, etc., glue dowels to the back to add extra support.

INSTRUCTIONS OPTION 2: 1) use a ruler and a pencil to create a grid on your printout (the smaller the grid the better) 2) Use a ruler and a pencil to create a coordinating grid on your piece of fabric. 3) Use your grid system to recreate the image on the fabric with a  pencil. This design does not need to be perfect to still look great!
