It wouldn't be the Long Lost Studio universe without a fish print to add to the collection of vintage and Victorian-era style lithography prints. Read on to hear from the artist herself, Caroline, about the unique illustration style she utilized while designing this trout print.
Available in 3 sizes! This illustration style is so fun for me to create. It's based on a Victorian-era style of lithography which was used for commercial illustrations and naturalist specimen drawings. The texture pattern helps seamlessly blend only a few colors into the whole color spectrum. It took me a lot of practice to figure out how to recreate this process using hand-drawn digital tools, but I love the result. I hope you do too!
